Why The iPad Mini Could Be More Successful Than The iPhone 5

We now know that Apple’s teaser invitations are not nearly as cryptic as they once were, and “little” is clearly the cue word here, suggesting the iPad Mini. Sure, there are lots of colors — maybe the iPad Mini will come in multiple colors.

Whatever the case, the production reports and leaked photos all point to this being an iPad Mini event. It really does not matter if the iPad mini is more successful than the original iPad because if its just a smaller iPad it will of course sell because it has the Apple brand which makes it a desirable fashion accessory but Apple can’t rely on that forever and there is some real competition out there now.

Apple for the first time have met with real competition in the form of the Kindle Fire and now Microsoft have come out with the new surface if which there is a large & small version and that has the potential to be the iPad killer the industry has been waiting for because they have finally blended the laptop & tablet by adding a USB port and their screen cover which is the same style as the iPad magnetic screen cover only its a proper Bluetooth keyboard so you have the option of the onscreen keyboard or a remove-able external keyboard which many people want.

The Surface also comes with Office and the iPad has no word processing abilities. iPad might appeal to the ordinary man on the street because it has the Apple brand but businessmen who don’t care about designer just what machine will do the job best might start choosing the Surface.

The iPad mini & full size iPad 4 need to be total redesigns with features like its Pages word processing suit, a external keyboard of some kind, a significant memory boost the memory in the iPad 3 is the same as what it was with the original so if Apple don’t want to give an SD memory expansion option which most tablets now have then it need to offer a significant memory boost as standard and maybe its time for Apple to start considering things like USB to finally make the iPad much more of a machine in its own right rather than an accessory to computer.

Apple are just not being inventive enough and the iPad 1 really was the lat thing they came up with which had any kind of wow factor.

An American novelist----Herman Melville

An American novelist----Herman Melville

Herman Melville   was born in New York City on August 1, 1819, the third of eight children of Allan and Maria Gansevoort Melvill. After her husband Allan died, between 1832 and 1834, Maria added an "e" to the family surname — seemingly at the behest of her son Gansevoort. Part of a well-established and colorful Boston family, Melville's father spent a good deal of time abroad as a commission merchant and an importer of French dry goods. He was an American novelist, short story writer, essayist, and poet. He is best known for his novel Moby-Dick. His first three books gained much contemporary attention (the first, Typee, becoming a bestseller), and after a fast-blooming literary success in the late 1840s, his popularity declined precipitously in the mid-1850s and never recovered during his lifetime. When he died in 1891, he was almost completely forgotten. It was not until the "Melville Revival" in the early 20th century that his work won recognition, especially Moby-Dick, which was hailed as one of the literary masterpieces of both American and world literature. He was the first writer to have his works collected and published by the Library of Amerika.

My horoscope---Libra

Characteristics and Profile
(Sept 23 - Oct 22)

Libra is the only zodiac symbol that's neither animal nor human -- but surely that doesn't make you any less human. In fact, Libra is among the most sociable of the signs. As scales of old were really "balances," so to do you seek balance in all that Libra does. You respond to situations with grace as Libra attempts to put others at ease. Artistically, Libra tries to balance form, content, colors and elements, and for this reason can be drawn toward creative endeavors.

The greatest balancing act is between self and others, and it is here that many Libras focus their energy. Here, in the realm of interpersonal relationships, you are a champion. Libra know how to be the charming host or hostess. Libra can sense what others want before they ask for it. And you can make the needs of others a higher priority than your own. In fact, Libra is the shuttle diplomats of the zodiac, going back and forth between the extremes until a solution is negotiated.

The Libra motto might be "To every action there is an opposite and equal reaction." It is your innate sense of cause and effect that makes you so effective as a strategist. Whether it's playing chess, relationship counseling or civic planning, you know how to be effective while staying in the middle of the road. Your easygoing attitude can serve you and others well, but don't forget that your needs cannot go totally unfulfilled or you won't have anything to give to others.

Power of student activism

It is fair to say that the students can be the spark for a broader struggle ahead.

Given the current dynamic atmosphere of Malaysian politics, campus elections in the public universities are steadily gaining attention.
Last year, a Pro-Mahasiswa (Pro-M) candidate Masturah Abu Bakar from Universiti Malaya was allegedly kidnapped during the campus elections.
(Pro-M is widely regarded as an anti-establishment party as opposed to the pro-government Pro-Aspirasi.)
This time, Pro-M student leaders claimed that they received intimidation and death threats while UM Pro-M national chairman Edikoup Lakip Sediyantoa claimed that he was assaulted by unknown assailants.
With the rise of the new generation, voices of dissent are shaking the foundations of the old order around the globe.
When it comes to campus polls, the question always arises: should students be kept away from politics or should they be allowed to take an active part in politics?
Historically, the 1960s saw student activism and discontent erupt all over the world and were seen as a significant force for social change.
Student movements have played a crucial role in many major social and political transformations. Clearly, students around the world have been part of various movements to promote democracy and human rights.
Their role is indeed crucial as they are the backbone of society. Nowadays, students are often asked to reflect on the future challenges of their society. So, if they are not taught in the way they should, the future of society will be in danger.
Interest in politics as an academic subject in Malaysia is certainly increasing and it is undeniable that the university serves as one of the places to nurture political ambitions.
Looking at the development of student activism in the country, are our students nowadays like their counterparts in the 1960s?
The student activism in the 1960s was so influential that it not only changed the political climate, it also paved the way for the rise of the current generation of students.

Birthday Celebration on 30/9

On 30/9/2012, my Faculty Economic and Management ( FEP ) senior fetch me and a friend from Kolej Keris Mas ( KKM ) to Kajang Mcdonald's for my birthday celebration. The FEP senior asked for a set of McBugger, the KKM friend was a set of McNuggets and mine was a set of McFilet-O-Fish.

After that, we went to Kajang Econsave to buy some daily supplies and food. We did a shopping at Econsave about 1 hour then back to our campus.

I feel so excited and fulfill because I have two best senior friends helping me to celebrate my 1st birthday at UKM. This is the most memorable experience and memory in my life.

I took a photo with my FEP senior
